Dr. Matthew Peterson
DVMDr. Peterson attended Saint George’s University, and completed his clinical training at North Carolina State University, gaining experience in a wide range of veterinary disciplines and patient care settings. Originally from Rockland County, NY, he attended SUNY Cobleskill for undergrad prior to embarking for the Caribbean for vet school.
Dr. Peterson is particularly passionate about helping patients with complex medical conditions and enjoys working with families to develop individualized treatment plans that support the health and quality of life of their pets. His experience and interest in shelter medicine have also fostered a deep appreciation for caring for animals from all backgrounds and helping every patient receive the care they deserve.
On a personal level, Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking, kayaking, and whitewater rafting. He is also a lifelong fan of the New York Giants, Knicks (Knicks in 5!!), and Rangers. In his downtime, he enjoys playing video games.
